Attention first time home buyers: The U.S. government has recently passed the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, which allows for up to $7,500 in tax credits to first time home buyers.

With the passage of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, homeowners may now receive a tax rebate for 10% of the purchase price of their house up to $7,500. The home must be purchased between April 9, 2008 – July 1, 2009.
